We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Los Angeles County. This role is critical in supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth employee processes, and fostering a positive and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional with a strong understanding of HR practices and California labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating offers.
- Oversee onboarding to ensure a smooth and engaging start for new employees.
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor, addressing employee concerns, and mediating conflicts professionally and confidentially.
- Support management in resolving employee issues and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- HR Policy Implementation
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Stay current on California labor laws, ensuring organizational adherence to all legal and regulatory standards.
- Performance Management
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and creating development plans for employees.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and annual renewals.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of employee compensation.
- Training & Development
- Identify employee training needs and coordinate programs to enhance skills and career development.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through tailored initiatives.
- HR Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records and generate regular HR metrics and analytics to guide decision-making.
- Support audits and compliance reporting, including EEO, OSHA, and other required filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role.
- Strong understanding of California labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification strongly preferred.
